Appeal to identify man in Kilmarnock

Police in Ayrshire are appealing for information after a man was found on Western Road in Kilmarnock and later pronounced dead.
The incident happened around 4.05pm on Thursday, 16 April, 2020 after a man was found lying on Western Road, opposite Knockinlaw Road. The Scottish Ambulance Service and local officers attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being treated as unexplained pending the results of a post mortem.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man. He is described as around 50-years-old with an average build, with a grey/ginger shaved head bald at the top with a moustache and beard. He also has some scarring on the top of his head.
He was wearing navy Nike jogging bottoms, black Nike hooded running top, navy Adidas t-shirt, navy Adidas beanie hat and black Adidas trainers.
Detective Sergeant Gary White, of Kilmarnock CID, said: "We're currently trying to identify the man and are appealing to anyone who may have information about him or his movements on Thursday 16 April."
