Bike safety advice
There are a number of ways you can protect your bike before, during and after the Championships.
- Use two different types of locks to deter any thieves and slow them down
- Fasten your bike to a strong object, ideally fixed to the ground
- Upload your details to bikeregister.com which will help us return your bike if it’s lost or stolen
Police Scotland also work with Cycling Scotland to support the safe use of shared road space. Operation Close Pass is a road safety initiative carried out by Police Scotland officers and is targeted during summer months when more vulnerable road users, such as cyclists, are using the road network.
