Interim Director - Transformation

Breeda McCaffrey is the Interim Director of Transformation.

​After completing her engineering studies at Lancaster and then Cambridge University, Director McCaffrey embarked on a ten-year career in automotive and consumer goods manufacturing management. In the 20 years since, she has specialised in leading large-scale business transformation, with a focus on improving organisational effectiveness.

At her core, Breeda is deeply people-focused, driven by a commitment to understanding what employees need to stay engaged and effective during times of change. She believes that true success is the combination of achieving business results for all the organisation’s stakeholders and supporting the people that make those results possible.

Before joining Police Scotland in March 2025, Breeda worked across the globe with some of the world’s most respected organisations, including UNICEF, Diageo and WPP, leading transformative initiatives globally. She has also collaborated with renowned companies such as Bentley Motors, SSE and the University of Oxford helping to foster positive change and enhance leadership and organisational performance.​
