Assistant Chief Constable Alan Waddell is the Executive Lead for Operational Support.

ACC Wadell joined Central Scotland Police in 1997 and worked across a variety of rol​es, including CID, road policing and emergency planning, going on to become area commander for Falkirk.

In 2018, he was appointed Divisional Commander for Lanarkshire. As Chief Superintendent, Alan led Emergency, Events and Resilience Planning department since 2022. ​

He was appointed Assistant Chief Constable in March 2025.​
