Our values and standards
Since 2022, we have re-emphasised the importance of Police Scotland’s values and our Standards of Professional Behaviour to our colleagues as part of Policing Together.
This will help ensure that all colleagues who represent the police service know what is expected of them.

In addition, we have also been providing the public greater transparency on how the police service in Scotland is dealing with those who are failing shot of the standards we expect.
For example, publishing information on Gross Misconduct hearings in SPA Complaints and Conduct Committee papers.
Our values and standards should be apparent and present in every interaction you have with a Police Scotland officer or member of staff.
