How can you improve outcomes for your community through having your voice heard in policy and service development of the Police Service of Scotland?
Police Service of Scotland has the privilege of being able to police Scotland with the consent of the people of Scotland.
We regularly consult with the public and partners on what is important to them around policing priorities.
The feedback we receive is used, in conjunction with other sources of information, to influence planning on a national and local level.
We sought views on the draft 10-year strategy in a nationwide consultation that ran between February and May 2017.
1715 responses were received, supplemented by additional feedback gathered from staff, partners and the public at events and meetings both before and during the consultation. Read more about the consultation.
As an organisation, the police rarely achieve improved outcomes for communities in isolation.
We work in partnership with other public services and the 3rd sector to deliver improved outcomes for communities across all 32 local authority areas serving Scotland. Community Planning Partnerships also consult in relation to the setting of local outcomes through e.g. Citizenship Panels.
