Community Empowerment Reports
This page provides information in relation to all participation requests made to Police Scotland under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
This page will provide the name of the Community Participation Body and the detail of their participation request.
A copy of the validation letter and decision notice will also be provided within the timescales set out by the Act.
We will, at an appropriate juncture, publish a report on each outcome improvement process. In addition, an annual report will be published, detailing all participation requests received by Police Scotland from 1st April to 31st March and will contain the following information:
- the number of requests received
- the number of requests agreed and refused
- the number of requests which resulted in changes to a public service provided by, or on behalf of, Police Scotland
- any action taken by Police Scotland to promote and support the use of participation requests.

Cambuslang Community Council Participation Request: We have to date strengthened channels of communication with Cambuslang Community Council and Police Scotland’s Cambuslang Management Team.
We have ensured police visibility at Community Council Meetings which has also increased accessibility to local officers within the wider community of Cambuslang. We are currently still working with Cambuslang Community Council to continue to deliver on the outcomes within the improvement process.
