Scottish Borders
Scottish Borders is one of four area commands in the Lothians and Scottish Borders division.
Priorities
The priorities for your area are decided by data from our strategic assessment which details threats and risks, and also from feedback from local authorities, partners, and residents in the Your Police survey.
- Protecting the most vulnerable people
- Reducing violence & anti-social behaviour
- Reducing acquisitive crime
- Improving road safety
- Tackling serious & organised crime.
You can read more information about how these priorities are decided and how officers work with the local council and partners to improve your community and address these issues in the Scottish Borders Local Policing Plan (Easy Read PDF version).
Area Commander and localities
Chief Inspector Stuart Fletcher is the local area commander in charge of the response officers, community officers, and officers from the criminal investigation department working in the individual localities. They all respond to calls in the area and deal with local issues.
You can follow your local teams on Twitter where they post about how they are policing your community.
Please note email accounts and social media channels are not monitored 24/7, and are not for reporting crime.
